e-dating™ STORIES
Stephany's Story
Better than Blind, Business and Bars...
It
sounds funny but people always presume that I'm the kind of
woman that has men beating down her door..."Surely you can
get a date anytime you want?"...The truth is, as a single
mom, I'm waaay beyond bars. I won't mix business with pleasure
to date people in business circles and potentially hurt my
future career. Blind dates? Well .I love my friends and family,
but they don't know how to pick 'em! I have very discriminating
tastes, and know the kind of man I want and need to fit with
my lifestyle and my future.
I believe Internet dating is the safest, most efficient
and practical way to date for busy professional women like
myself. Where else can one be introduced to thousands of men
in a year and have the luxury of pre-qualifying a handful
for a date? Screening out those that don't fit the profile,
is the advantage.
Compared to conventional dating where it can take 3-5 dates
to get to know someone and ask the real questions. It seems
with e-dating there is an implied permission to ask anything
you want up front before you even decide to go on a date.
It's amazing what people will tell you about themselves online
if you ask, compared to what they are not comfortable telling
you face to face. Time is a big theme for me.e-dating saves
time and lets you avoid excruciatingly long dinners with the
wrong person.
My profile has been viewed by approximately 17,000 men in
one year. I would get up to 10 new responses per day. Although
I responded to everyone and conversed (email or telephone)
with many, I only met face to face with a dozen or so from
everywhere (including Montreal, St. Louis, Ottawa, New Hampshire,
New Jersey, Texas and Pennsylvania). While some of the responses
to my profile were so bad they made my eyes roll and my head
hurt. All the dates that I have chosen to meet have been respectful
gentlemen and pleasant romantic adventures.
I am a huge advocate of e-dating and see so many advantages
for women like myself. I'd hope women would be inspired by
my story, or at least a little less afraid to try it.
Doesn't every woman (secretly) want to be swept off her feet
by a man who'll love and adore, encourage and support her
for the rest of her life? Who knows? Surrender to possibilities.
At the very least you'll be able to say, "I lived the adventure,
followed my heart and had an amazing and passionate romance."
Maybe you'll have colourful stories for your memoirs someday,
but it'll be worth it!
